Dear Al, My name is James Bahl. My father and I have a piano
business, Bahl & Sons Piano in West Salem, Wisconsin. We service
and sell all types of pianos (pianos only), and our specialty is the
sale and professional restoration of player pianos. I discovered
your web page through a web search for player pianos.
At this time we are looking for two items that perhaps you may be
able to help with.
1. We have a customer who is in need of a Schulz pneumatic system
(stack only). This would be the newer style valve system (1921
vintage). The original system for their piano had three tiers of
bellows but the "fingers" that matched up with the action were in a
straight line. This newer style did not utilize the inner bellows for
valve operation, you're probably familiar with this type. Please let
me know if you know the whereabouts of such a system or perhaps can
tell me of a source to enquire. The system can be in original
condition as long as it is intact.
2. We also have a customer who is looking for an upright reproducer.
He is not particular about the brand, or pneumatic system, he just
simply prefers the features that a reproducer has to offer over the
conventional player. Your web page mentions that you may have one of
these in your possession. If so, please pass along the details.
Thank you for your time on these matters. I will add your e-mail
address to our address book. Someday, when we get our web page going,
I would like to find out more about your linking system.
Yours truly,
James Bahl
