If anyone who reads the MMD has any runs of Mechanical Music Journals
(not currently listed below) that could be used in the Grand Index of
Mechanical Music project (and would either like to donate or trade them
for either journal runs of MBSI and/or MBSoGB), I would be interested
in hearing from you.
Other than the "Musical Box Society of Great Britain" journals, all
other journals sets in the Grand Index of Mechanical Music project,
were from publishers and societies in the United States. I would love
to add journals from Australian and from many countries of Europe to
the mix, (I am not excluding others countries or continents, I just
personally know of collector societies in these continental areas). If
any collector groups, in other countries, would be interested in trading
to add to your groups libraries, please contact me promptly.
It must be made clear up-front that the journal runs, I have, are NOT
for sale. Trades should be considered as of a "One for One" type.
Their is no money to be made by me or others involved. (In fact all
money that have been used to this date have come out of my pockets).
The project has been helped along however by friends who like myself
believe in the project. The MBSI, ROS, APM and the NAG, journals were
part of my personal collections. The AMICA and MBSoGB were either
traded for or were given to me for the "Grand Index" project.
As it stands, the Grand Index of Mechanical Music data base includes:
"Musical Box Society International" (MBSI),
"Musical Box Society of Great Britain" (MBSoGB),
"Reed Organ Society" (ROS) journal runs.
I will be adding journals of the:
"Automatic Musical Instrument Collectors Association" (AMICA),
"The Antique Phonograph Monthly" (APM), and
"The New Ambrola Graphic" (NAG).
Thanks for your consideration
