Roll Artists With Assumed Names
By Andy Taylor

I read the posting about QRS. and other arrangers issuing rolls under
different names.

So maybe someone could tell me, if the following people were real
people, and if not, who they were

    Osborne & Howe
    Ted Baxter
    Jeff Watters
    Dick Watson
    Armond Muth (a personal favorite)

What was the reason for an arranger using a "assumed" name? Wwas it so
they could also legally arrange material for different companies or was
it used for mundane arrangements that they would rather not be
associated with?

I thought about arranging rolls under the name "Goofy", but that belongs
to Walt Disney<grin>

Cheers
Andrew Taylor
