I would like to announce the Player Piano Group's newly-launched
web site. It can be found at
http://www.playerpianogroup.org.uk/
The intention is to present a summary of the player piano's history
and technical operation -- the sort of things that owners may find
useful -- and explain why they should join an enthusiast society!
This is still work in progress, of course, but I hope the work so far
is of general interest. Something you won't find elsewhere on the web
is Reginald Reynolds' 'How to player the Pianola', which should be read
by all those who want to get a little more out of their instrument.
(Follow the links to 'Player Music').
Comments would, of course, be welcome. I am the contents editor,
and Adam Ramet is webmaster, so you know who to blame!
The PPG would greatly appreciate being added to the links from other
web sites.
