Sir,  May I bring to the attention of browsers and contributors to
the MMD a postal music roll auction service operated and managed by
the Player Piano Group of Great Britain.   Designed by player
enthusiasts for player enthusiasts, we call it "PostBid Plus".

Operated entirely on a non-profit basis, the service has been
overhauled and revitalised in recent months, and now offers at least
two substantial lists of music rolls, books and related items each
year.  In fact, to celebrate the 20th year of PostBid's operation,
this year we are offering three such lists; by way of example, the
current (April) list contains over 1000 lots, including organ and
reproducing piano rolls.   Our July list will major on rolls for the
Duo-Art reproducing piano and "Meloto" label rolls issued by Aeolian
in the 1920s and 30s.   All lots are offered at realistic reserves,
some as little as 50 pence.

Auction catalogues are mailed automatically, as published, to
registered members of the Player Piano Group (which is another good
reason for joining the Group!).  We also welcome bids from non-members,
who are invited to subscribe to PostBid Plus for the following annual
fees:   GBP 2 (UK); GBP 3 (Europe); GBP 4 (USA and rest of world).
All we ask is that you send your subscription in Sterling, please
(notes or cheque).
