Synchronizing Seeburg KT Special Tune Indicator
By Bill Masterman

Hello all, Here is one for the Seeburg experts. I recently installed
a tune indicator in my KT Special as it was missing. I purchased the
one that Philip Jamison sold on eBay. By the way, I am surprised this
part did not receive more attention on eBay, selling at only $51.00.
I thought a lot of the surviving KT Specials were missing this part.
Philip Jamison does mention having another one for sale should anyone
be interested.

Anyhow, having never seen one installed with my own two eyes, I took
a logical guess as to how it would be tubed. I teed it into the tube
running from the coin trip valve to the subtract credit pneumatic.
Works fine 90% of the time. When a coin trip perforation passes by
that is a little smaller than the norm, it will miss a count, or worse
yet, not subtract a credit.

Did I install this correctly? I suspect not. I have heard these
can be a pain in the rear, but I have never heard why. I have been
lengthening the coin trip perforations on my G rolls where it misses.
Perhaps I just need to hook it up properly and be done with it?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
