Pneumatic Cutout in Needham Player
By Reid Echandia

-- forwarded message, please reply to sender and MMD --

Hi, my name is Reid Echandia. I am a preservationist and have a love
of all antique mechanical devices. I have two Studebakers to attest to
this that I re-animated myself. In my home I have a Wurlitzer that I
saved from the scrap heap and I must say I have it playing beautifully.

My fathers office was just given an old Needham player piano. I have
replaced many of the main air tubes and am getting good pressure from
the bellows, sufficient to run the motor. I am unable to figure out
the tubing arrangement to activate the tracker bar. It appears to have
a pneumatic rather than a mechanical cut off for rewind.

If there is any schematic available for this piano I would appreciate
it. The old tubing is long gone and I don't have anything to go on.
I greatly appreciate your consideration you can give to my quest.

Thank you.
