New Duo-Art CD in MIDI & BAR/ANN Formats
By Spencer Chase

I have just finished a new CD of Duo-Art Piano Music for PowerRoll
operated Duo-Art pianos as well as for solenoid and electronic pianos
using the WindPlay program. Sound modules and computer sound cards
will also play these files using the "full version" of WindPlay to
emulate the reproducing piano. The processing is complete and the CDs
will be available for shipping very soon. More information on the use
of these files, as well as ordering information, is available on my web
site.

The CD contains 153 (subject to last minute changes) titles in both
MIDI and BAR/ANN formats. All of the music is from original Duo-Art
reproducing piano rolls scanned optically. There is a great variety
of both popular and classical music. A few of the classical pieces are
worth the purchase price alone. Included are light and heavy classics
and popular music including dance music, ballads, and salon music.
Many of the titles are requests. Several of the pieces are performed
by alternate performers serving as an opportunity for comparison.
A complete listing of titles is available from my web site.

I also have a new set of ANN files available to purchasers of my
previously issued CDs. These files readjust the default play tempi
for the WindPlay files. A parameter used for the previous issue set
these tempi a little fast. With the new files, they should play at
the carefully chosen tempi at which the MIDI files have always played.
I have made a great effort to adjust the default tempi for the files
on the new CD as well. Of course the listener is welcome to adjust
the tempos for each title individually, just as before. These files
are available from the "Download" page of my web site. The URL is
listed in my signature. Be sure to click "refresh" to get the latest
version as I update the site regularly.
