Good morning, Firstly, I have a several things here today. I guess
I'll start with answering Al Pebworth's wish for a bottom unit for a
Standard player system. I have an old Cable-Nelson that I scavenged
the stack out of for another piano. It was a Standard system. The
foot pump unit is in poor shape, someone bored a hole in one of the
boards for an electric vacuum pump, and the I think the exhausters and
reservoir all need recovering (haven't really looked at it closely).
Second: I am looking for some Wurlitzer 125 band organ stuff for one
I'm fixing. Some of the valves weren't working, so the enterprising
maintenance staff at the amusement park where it resides used gray
epoxy to try and repair them. I could really use two or three
replacement valves, since these ones are going to be virtually
irreparable.
Third: I also need a couple of Wurlitzer 125 rolls, as this organ only
has one to play, and eventually it will self-destruct. It gobbles
quarters and plays all summer long, the only time it's been silent has
been when it wasn't working.
Fourth: There was a man who answered my plea for a 125 vacuum pump last
year, he loaned it to me to copy. I've subsequently lost his e-mail
address and home address. All I know is that he's from the University
of Minnesota, Minneapolis, so hopefully you're lurking out there and
read this, because I'd like to get the vacuum pump returned. I'm
heading south to Minneapolis on the 14th of March, and I could return
it then.
Fifth (and last): The 65 note rolls are still for sale, I've had
two contacts, but apparently they didn't want them. The price is
negotiable, but the owner is asking $125 for the lot. There are
16 of them in excellent condition.
Robbie and Jody, I hope this doesn't prove to be too much of an editing
nightmare for you.
