Hi Robbie, I don't really like to publicize eBay as such, but there
is currently being offered an extremely rare type of player piano.
(It's in Britain.) There are pictures, albeit not terribly clear ones,
accompanying the listing.
I have only ever encountered one of these, and that was back in 1959,
here in the US. The mechanism is ingenious, consisting of a single
tier of pistons for the note-striking, two pistons for the foot-pump
and one for the reservoir, and four in line for the roll-drive motor.
If after looking at this you decide that this is something for the
MMD gallery, you might ask the owner if he can supply better pictures.
