Hi MMDers -- In October 1979 I recorded the playing of David Thomas
Roberts in 15 piano solos (as piano rolls). Nine of the rolls were
Roberts' own unique folk rags and the balance were by Jelly Roll
Morton, Trebor Tichenor, Tom Shea and Brun Campbell. I sold the rolls
as a set of 15 and about 33 sets were sold.
A complete set of the 15 rolls has just been listed on eBay as Lot
# 264 831 719. My only interest is as the original producer of the
set. They are offered by a friend and fellow roll recutter and roll
auctioneer, George Fawkes. The auction closes 29 February 2000.
If you are a fan of David Thomas Roberts, this is an opportunity.

[ Sometime early in the 1980s I had the opportunity to perform with
[ Roberts, with two pianos, _improvising_ on the novelty solos by
[ Zez Confrey. He'd shout to me, "Now play a chorus in the style
[ of Pete Wendling!" -- Robbie
