Duo-Art 6149 "Country Gardens"
By Phil Dayson

I have two Duo-Art rolls of Country Gardens. They are both labelled
number 6149 and played by Percy Grainger. The first is from the
Aeolian Co., London, the second is a recut from Klavier, presumably
of a US Aeolian roll.

The rolls are completely dissimilar, both in note duration and in
expression coding. Both are fairly painful to listen to, although
the Klavier roll is far worse. I don't know whether both rolls
originate from the same recording.
