A few weeks ago there was a request to the organbuilder Voigt in
Frankfurt. The workshop is 8 km away from the place where I live,
so I offered to visit the Voigts. They were not enthused about
that idea. So I phoned only with the Junior (2 times) and the
Senior (1 time).
The Senior told me that they had very bad experience with customers
from North America. For North America customers they will work only
for a minimum of 300 DM (that is 150 US$) per order paid in advance.
They can't survive from telling people about the history of old organs.
They no longer build new organs but they repair old ones. You can get
punched music in roll and cardboard form for Wilhelm Bruder, Gebr.
Bruder, Gebr. Richter, Ruth, Voigt and Wrede machines. They prefer
to work for old customers they know.
The best way to get in contact with the Voigts is to write a letter
in German. They will accept a letter in English, but the answer will
be in German!

or photos of the 87 keyless Gavioli available.
Answer to the query from Matthew Caulfield: Your Wurlitzer roll is
furthermore missing -- sorry.
Answer to the query from Dick Hack: See above what Mister Voigt told.
