Source of Blotter Paper for Valve Gaskets
By D. L. Bullock
I just bought a case of 80 weight blotter paper. It is very good
quality, not like the stuff in the art supply stores. It is also the
exact thickness as that used on Duo-Art valve gaskets and many other
places in our craft and that of pipe organs.
Each sheet is 19" x 24" I can sell it for $3.50 per sheet
I have dies made from a few original gaskets and can supply them.
I do not know if there is a desire for these, so I have not determined
a price, yet. What does PPCo charge? I know I can beat that price.
Duo-Art valve gaskets for cross valves (square with round holes)
Pianola valve gaskets (round with round holes)
The originals were pouch leather, but I suggest blotter paper instead
with modern pouch leather being so leaky. They later were made from
blotter.
I am not normally in the supply business so I require a $10.00 minimum
order.
What other blotter gaskets are needed?
