The Fourneaux Pianista
By Jim Tartaglia, forwarded

-- forwarded message, please reply to sender and MMD --

Hi, my name is Jim Tartaglia and I am writing a college paper about
the development of the pianola. I have found information that shows
the Fourneaux Pianista pre-dated the pianola and had many of the same
features. I have some questions, though, such as how did the pianista
work? Why were there foot pedals if the hand crank pushed the
cardboard music "book" through? Can you direct me to the best person
or persons to answer this question?

Thanks for your help.

Jim Tartaglia
