Reprint of "The Fairground Organ"
By Russell Wattam

In reply to Tom Grace's question about the content of the reprint of
"The Fairground Organ", I spoke earlier today with one of the trustees
of the St. Albans Organ Museum who assured me that this proposed reprint
will be an updated and corrected version of the original.

It will include all the text of the old book as well as additional
information gathered from restorers, historians etc. It will also
be printed on better paper than the old one. I was asked to point out
that the reprint will only go ahead if enough interest is shown to make
it worthwhile, hence the statement to the effect that cheques will only
be cashed if the reprint goes ahead.

I should also point out that I am in no way connected to the museum
and was merely repeating for the benefit of non-FOPS MMDers what I had
read. My only involvement was to answer a questionnaire put out to
restorers and historians by the Trustees some years ago.

I suggest that more detailed queries should be addressed to the museum
itself. I can always post any more definite information to MMD as it
becomes known.

For the more sceptical MMDers, I'll be sending my cheque off on Monday
morning!

Best wishes,

Russell Wattam.
