The only Everard piano I have seen in 45 years of tuning pianos is
a gutted player, having had either a Standard or an Autopiano player
action (judging from the holes for mounting).
It is a stencil piano -- i.e., the name only occurs in a stencil or
decal stuck to the plate, not cast in the plate -- indicating it was
made to sell under that name by another piano maker. Pierce Piano
Atlas (10th Edition) gives the address, 432 Austin Place, New York,
and adds "same as Schnecke." No date information, and Schnecke is
not listed.
The quality level of stencil pianos rarely rises above average, and the
Everard piano #31569 which I service for a customer is a low average,
albeit with a massive Empire style case.
