Kimball Electramatic Spinet Player
By Bill Maxim

I am servicing a Kimball P792 Electramatic spinet player with
transmission problems. Apparently the small gear (which is inside a
sealed box) attached to the motor shaft has lost some teeth and causes
a jumpy (8-10 jerks per second), slow drive.

Does anyone know if Kimball (no longer building pianos) sold their
remaining stock of player parts to some service person, the way
Wurlitzer did when ending player production in the early 1980's?
I'm hoping to find a replacement gearbox.
