HI, I'm going to save another art case Foster player piano if I can!
I reglued the back posts and soundboard, but I am faced with a water-
damaged upright piano that needs complete re-veneering. There are so
many gouges and cigarette burns, and the veneer is in poor condition
and pulling loose everywhere, so I think it would be easier to just
redo the whole thing. The wood underneath the veneer is still good.
Is there a place to buy large veneer sheets, and are there any "How To"
books on the subject? I have patched veneer here and there, but I've
never re-veneered a whole piano.
Then there is the issue of the keybed and legs. Someone used a dreadful
looking reddish stain; should I try to remove it or have new legs made?
Thanks in advance.
