To Brian Chesters: This little reed organ from Jerome Thibouville Lamy
(JTL) was the smallest of the production of the Organina series. You
can find the Organinas with 24 notes (very well known) and 36 notes.
The name "Serinette parisienne" comes from the name "Serinette",
the little bird organ built in Mirecourt, France. But the 16-note
organette wasn't a bird organ, but a little organette for dancing at
home (all the people couldn't buy a piano!) or later for children.
And "parisienne", because the firm Jerome Thibouville Lamy had three
factories: in Normandy, in Mirecourt, and in Paris.

Best regards from Mirecourt
