Everest Recordings of Ampico and Duo-Art Music
By D. L. Bullock

I have a good number of the Everest reproducing roll LP's. As
I remember they are mostly Duo-Art. I also remember that they were
at the time (1970's when I found them) the only recordings of
reproducing rolls I could find except for Joseph Tushinski's three
cassettes of "Keyboard Immortals".

I also remember that the piano needed a valve job in a bad way.
Many fast repeated notes did not make it to the record, but were
left on the floor under the piano.

The piano also had some damper wires that buzzed against the strings
from time to time. ("Zing Went the Strings ..." ;) I still have
them, but I seldom listen to LP's anymore.
