Robbie commented, "I've heard several tall stories about organs, too !"
There used to be a tall chimney where I worked. It whistled with a
low-pitched rumble when the wind blew. I wondered how powerful a blower
would be needed to excite it like an organ pipe, at its lowest tone.
There was the nice door at the bottom of the chimney to work with,
but any time the wind was strong enough to make the chimney "roar",
I was afraid to be near it.
The chimney still had the name SELDEN in big white brick. This was
the automobile and truck plant. Finally the chimney was blown up
with dynamite before it could blow down from the wind !

P.S.: The white brick "AMPICO" is still visible on the chimney at
the "old piano works" in East Rochester, but the section above that
has been removed.
