Empress Electric Orchestrion
By Bernt Damm

Hi folks, Thanks to John Rutoskey and Don Teach for the Empress info
they provided. Every bit helps.

I am now actually a bit worried about rebuilding these valves and
I will consider this when the time comes to make a decision. I would
want it for the following reason and circumstances: I have a rare part
of a Hupfeld Orchestrion (unrestored) that I can maybe swap for a
complete, unrestored, maybe disassembled Empress-Electric flute and
violin piano with the art glass piece missing.

I am not sure if this will be a reasonable deal after all, but it
would be really nice to have a complete orchestrion out here. There
are immense shipping charges, etc., involved and I do not want to get
something that is not usable or restorable. I am currently awaiting
photos of the instrument and based on that and the valued opinions of
the fellow MMDers, I will decide if this is worth it or not.

If anyone remembers any other info about the Empress, please let
me know.

Regards and thanks
