Service Manual for Wurlitzer 1203 Solenoid Piano
By Ed Gaida
A year or more ago (see MMD 1998.03.14.08) I posted an article on the
Wurlitzer solenoid pianos built in the 1960's and 70's. The post
sparked a lively discussion on Delrin. People must read the MMD
archives as I have received in the last three weeks, four requests
for technical information on those solenoid pianos made by Wurlitzer.
I have a limited number of reprints of the service manuals for the two
models that I know they produced. Most of them out there are the Model
1203 series with the controls contained in the spoolbox. The earlier
model had the controls mounted to the right above the keys.
The manuals are $20.00 each plus $1.50 in postage. They both contain
11 inch X 17 inch schematics and one large drawing that is 11 inches by
28 inches! If you are going to repair one, these manuals are a must.
There is no information on my web site about these manuals at this time.
I hope to change that in the near future.
If you need one, email me and I will forward the particulars to you.
