Building Giant Music Box
By Andrew Herfst, forwarded

-- non-subscriber, please reply to sender and MMD --

Greetings, I am a student of music in Vancouver, Canada. I am
currently researching for a collaborative project to build three
giant (1.5 m) music boxes to be encased in brick sculpture.
I visualise the rolls being hand cranked.

I am wondering about ideas for materials to use for the giant comb,
or tines, and any other advice those with more experience might offer
me. I have found a few resources for those who restore antique boxes,
but nothing that quite suits my purpose. Can anyone suggest anything?

Any technical advice, schematics, ideas are welcome.

Sincerely,

Andrew Herfst
