My mother-in-law has a music box movement that used to play Isle of
Capri, but which no longer plays anything. It's a Sankyo movement.
Although I have found dealers who carry a variety of tunes at
reasonable prices, Isle of Capri is apparently no longer a stock item.
I've found two sources for a replacement. I can either have a lot of
200 at $1.75 each or one at $45.
Anyone know of good sources for a single unusual Sankyo movement?
I'm fairly sure that this would bring my mother-in-law $45 worth of
happiness, but I'd feel better shopping around.
In the meanwhile, this place stocks a wide variety of movements. They
even supply custom tunes if you want huge quantities. Their unit
prices seem reasonable to me.
