Rolls for 31-note Maxfield Player Reed Organ
By Kevin McElhone

I have just been informed of another interesting re-cut project:

"Nicholas Simons of Derby, England, a well-known member of MBSGB,
has just restored a Maxfield 31-note reed organ. This plays paper
rolls with paper 139 mm wide, on spools similar but not identical
to Celestina/Seraphone. He is arranging to have some modern music
made for this rare instrument and wants to know if anyone else is
interested in sharing the costs involved. If outside U.K. please
  E-mail kevin_mcelhone@hotmail.com. If inside U.K. please ask
Kevin for Nicholas's phone number so you can make contact."

I am not aware of any other new re-cut projects at this time but would
welcome details of any that members know about. There is nothing more
frustrating than having a lovely restored instrument but no music to
play. I know! Reference the 30-note Piano Melodico.
