Dear readers: Please check out the MMD Pictures site. I have posted
some material on the Coinola line which some of you have been able to
use to identify Coinola pianos. The material that is posted shows some
of the Coinola pianos that have never been seen and are not in Bowers'
"Encyclopedia of Automatic Music Instruments". The Encyclopedia is
a "must have" book if you like automatic music machines. I have heard
rumors that it may again go out of print, so buy now.
A friend of mine and I are thinking about reprinting some of our old
literature in color. One our first projects will be the set of Coinola
postcards that I have used for color pictures on the MMD picture site.
There are 12 postcards in color with a different Coinola on the front of
each postcard. On the back of each card is a description of the piano.
I am hoping there will be enough interest in this project to motivate us
to do more reprinting. The postcard set is hopefully going to sell for
25.00 which is up from the penny postcards of days gone by but still
lower than an original set would sell for today.
Our next project, _if_ there is any interest, would be the reprinting of
the "Day's Take" Wurlitzer poster on the MMD site, which was also used
in the book. "Put Another Nickel In", by Q. David Bowers.
Thanks
Don Teach
P.S. Wanted: old literature to copy, and of course Wurlitzer
Pianino Rolls -- always.
