F. Radle (New York) Player Piano
By Paul Ward
Friends, I'd like to thank you for answering my questions regarding
the Wurlitzer 105 project I am starting. I had to put it on the back
burner thought because of a tragedy that almost happened.
I work for a company that is growing quickly. One of that assets that
was in the way was an Upright Player Piano. It was going to be dis-
carded like trash! I looked it over and decided to give it a home.
This player piano has spent the last ten years in a storage house
and many of the rubber pipes are brittle. I haven't had a chance to
look at the stack yet, that's later. (It has been electrified.) Well,
I borrowed a few rolls tonight and the player is still functioning.
It was nice to hear Lida Rose being (almost) played.
After researching the archives and the reference books I have on had,
I cannot identify this piano. Can you help me or point me in the right
direction to the right reference material?
On the cast-iron plate it reads F Radle New York, and its serial
number is 53412. Is it trash or treasure? :)
Thank you for the help!
