A fellow I work with told me his aunt has a Soehne-Bruder 66-key band
organ (circa 1913) that she uses for parades, etc. The organ was
converted from a book reader to a roll reader. The person that
converted it and maintained it for them has retired or is out of
business. They have a problem with the "bellows" or pump and are
looking for someone in the Adrian, Michigan area, or Southern Michigan
or Northern Ohio, to repair it.
I pointed him to John Tuttle's player technician web site (thanks for
maintaining it, John) and told him I would pass the request to the MMD.
I understand she also has a roll playing organ but I don't know the
details about it yet. She said her son could pull the "bellows" to
send to someone, but I would think it should be looked at as the
complete organ.
If anyone is interested please let me know at msadler@netset.com or
contact Bill Jett at jett@netset.com. (Bill is the fellow I work
with.)
Thanks,
