Help Identify Photo of Player Device
By Larry Lobel

A fascinating photograph was recently auctioned on eBay (a friend of
mine was the winning bidder). It seems to depict some type of prototype
for a player/reproducing piano mechanism, possibly a recording device.
Any information or speculation about the subject of this photograph
would be most welcome.

 [ Larry,
[ The file on AOL is not properly labeled as a .JPG, so most
[ of our readers won't be able to view it. I've put a copy of it
[ on the MMD Website as:
 [
 [ http://mmd.foxtail.com/Pictures/playerprototype.jpg
 [
[ I hope this is OK with you and your friend. The picture is quite
 [ interesting. -- Jody
