Bellows Pump Stick Lubrication
By Stephen Kent Goodman

On the subject of pump stick lubrication: Animal fats eventually work
into the wood and dry out, plus fat attract insects and is temperature
sensitive (it hardens when it is cold).

I recommend using Sta-Lube Engine Assembly. It's a lube with moly-
graphite. Clean the pump stick junctions and sockets thoroughly before
applying new lubricant.

Sta-Lube is superior to "JAX" or anything else as it is a graphite- and
mineral oil-based lubricant that stays put and prevents seizing. If
you can't find it locally, call 1-800-272-8963.
