Welte Orchestrion at Zaharako's Confectionery
By Richard Vance

According to Durward Center, perhaps America's most knowledgeable
Welte expert, many Welte orchestrions, made for use in homes or smaller
indoor settings, were softly and sweetly voiced and appropriate for
the setting.

Like Mr. Inzero (and me), many people are surprised when they first
hear one like that. The array of brass trumpets that are usually
visible lead one to expect them to sound more like a band organ.
