Preparation for Y2K
By Damon Atchison

Gabe Della Fave's post about the power outage and his piano made me
think of the upcoming end of civilization with Y2K. My dad's friend is
stocking food in the basement. At Borders Bookstore there are books for
sale on how to prepare for Y2K and dehydrate and freeze-dry everything
under the sun.

I have started buying more piano rolls for this event. I feel it is
the only way I can survive. Who needs food? My dad's friend thinks
this isn't wise, and thinks I need to do more.

She's right. I'm also buying a Victrola. May we live by candle light
... or kerosene lamps, like Bruce Clark does.
