Hello MMD readers, The proverbial Phoenix has risen, regarding
Artcraft Rolls!
We just received word from the Malones in Turlock that they are ready
to duplicate all the [previously] released Artcraft Rolls as well as
the new arrangements being prepared. Prices will be slightly higher,
than before, due to the fact that they have to out-source spool flanges
and tabs, but we are happy to report that our Maine inventory held up
100% since the Play-Rite factory fire of 1997, which destroyed much of
the equipment, but not the Malones' duplicating perforators.
Our 88-Note Word Rolls, however, will be instrumental in the future,
when the dwindling stocks run out, so if you have been thinking about
Moxie One-Step or Preacher and the Bear (based on the Arthur Collins
cylinder record, complete with animal interpolations!), this is the
time to consider purchasing something with imprinted words. Much as
we don't want to switch to 'song sheets' it appears likely for the
future, due to the loss of their stencil equipment in the plant fire.
If you are interested in the forthcoming 88-Note, Duo-Art and/or
Ampico rolls being prepared now, drop us a line and we'll send you
an e-mail announcement as soon as the duplicated copies are ready for
distribution. Write to <artcraft@wiscasset.net> and include "roll
information" in the subject line, which will put your message into a
special listing. There is no obligation to purchase anything. Our
web site, listing all rolls and each title available at this time, is
http://www.wiscasset.net/artcraft/
It has been a long two years, but the wait for Artcraft perforating has
finally ended.
Regards,
