Dear MMDians, I've looked over the roll on eBay and even asked the
seller how many rows of holes there are on this little mystery. The
seller said there were only 17 rows, but I'm betting he only unrolled
it enough to get the start of the melody section, for which there are
17 notes. The numbering font on the roll looks similar, if not identi-
cal to that which I have seen the on the 66 key B.A.B. rolls at the
Tilden Park merry-go-round.
I was concerned that this thing may have been a test roll because the
melody came up first, but the few holes that I can see from the picture
on eBay seem to be random. Looks like a goody. Thanks for lettin' us
know 'bout it, Matt.
The seller said that the roll came out of Euclid Beach, and I'm almost
_certain_ that someone told me an 87-key North Tonawanda band organ saw
some service there. North Tonawanda ran on B.A.B. rolls, if I'm not
mistaken. Now why can't Tilden's band-organ history be this easy to
trace?
Warmest regards, Marc Elbasani
P.S. Hey guys, I got through calculus! Yay!
