Smoke Test
By Andy Taylor

Hi, I know this is way off the subject of player pianos, but I just
had to share this. This has to be one of the funniest situations
I have ever witnessed.

I was sitting at my bench in my electronics shop when a young kid
brought in a nice looking Cobra 25 GTL CB Radio (a 12-volt mobile radio
transceiver). He said, "It smoked and quit."

"Okay, lets take a look." He handed me the radio. I noticed that an
old 110-volt plug was spliced to the 12-volt hookup wires. Oh, oh...!

I asked, "You didn't plug that radio into the wall socket, did you?"

"Yes, and it _really_ lit up for a second !"

I said, "I bet it did!" It was all I could do to keep my composure. ;-)

hehehehe!
