I read with interest the article about the Heyn carousel in Kinsley
that Bruce White is restoring. I wonder if it is the carousel that once
lived at The Edaville Railroad Museum in South Carver in Massachusetts.
I'm quite sure that the carousel that was there was a Heyn, but as I
look back in my memory, I don't recall it as being a double-decker.
It was sold (?) after the rail museum was broken up due to poor money
management.
I'm happy to report that the railroad museum is reopening soon,
complete with its two-foot gauge steam powered trains. The present
lessors are looking for a carousel to replace the one that was there.
I haven't spoken to them for a few months so I don't know the progress
in obtaining one. I saw the carousel in Fall River, a PTC, this past
week; it formally was at Lincoln amusement park in South Dartmouth,
Massachusetts. Could the carousel that Mr. White has be the same one
that I saw years ago?
