Yarmulkes
By Larry Greenfield

In the last MMD, there was a lot of conversation about swastikas and
yarmulkes. A comment was made that perhaps yarmulkes were beanies.

Yarmulkes are not beanies; they are a religious adornment worn on the
head of Jewish people as a symbol of reverence and obedience to God.
If you look carefully and with respect for others, you will see that
many other religious groups, including the Pope of the Catholic church,
wear such head adornments.

A beanie is a toy worn on the head with a small propeller on it --
quite different from a yarmulke, etc. !
