College men wore beanies in those days -- see how fashion tastes change?

The symbol on the cloth on the table has some significance other than
that given to it by the Nazis.  I have seen it used in the architecture
of temples of several kinds.  I'm sorry that I can't tell you what it's
meanings have been, but I believe it is an old symbol, whose old
significance has been eclipsed by its use in the Holocaust.
