Vocalion Records

I think they were just made in brown as a marketing gimmick to make
them stand out from other records.  I'll have to look through my
collection, but I'm fairly sure they also made some records in plain
ol' black also.  Pathe did a similar gimmick with their run of
marbleized brown and black records.

I love the Aeolian records: not only do they look interesting, but they
seem to have been recorded with great care.
