Polishing Old Ivory Keys

I think Dremels don't polish a wide enough area. They tend to leave a
track across the surface. It's better if you remove the whole set from
the piano and buff them on a buffing wheel.

If they are too rough for your tastes, sand them individually with 320
or finer sandpaper, with a pane of glass or something very smooth
underneath.

If the ivory looks good, but is yellow, there is probably nothing that
can be done to whiten it significantly. Bleaching may weaken the
ivory. Sometimes, though sanding does work, if the yellowing is only
on the surface. Follow with buffing.
