I was a collector of mechanical music instruments in my youth in the
US. I have lived now in Israel over 30 years and organized, laterally,
an old church building of more then 100 years (Templers) for a museum.
It is my intention to restore and play these instruments for school
children (on field trips) and relate the history of mechanical
instruments. Since there is no other such institution in the Middle
East, it will be very educational and interesting.
I need to start collecting and I ask for everyone's help. Please write
to me at <ytmor@ibm.net>, with any orchestrions, nickelodeons, pianolas,
Duo-Arts, etc., which can be restored or are in working condition. We
are all doing this as volunteers, so it would have to be as donations
or very inexpensive since I am using only personal (limited) funds to
do this project.
Please start communicating and all help will be greatly appreciated.
I will keep all subscribers current with all developments by writing
often to the Digest.
All suggestions will also be appreciated.
Thank you
Yitzchak Mor
