Regarding John Tuttle's comment on the RAM Piano Company's "O" roll
inventory, I recall that their "O" rolls were at one time Play-Rite
recuts with the RAM proprietary spool flanges glued into the core. The
rolls had to have special boxes to allow for the extra two inches or
so in length. In order to use their rolls in any other make instrument
except a RAM product, you have to carefully remove the cemented-in
flanges. I remember them being somewhat more expensive as well. If
Play-Rite is still selling "O" rolls it would be best to buy them
directly from them.
A large selection of "O" rolls is available from Paul Gottschalk in
Champaign, IL (217-351-1099). He also stocks "A" and "G" style rolls.
