For those who wish to avoid the pesky chore of frequently re-lamping
their KT Special due to premature lamp failure caused by the percussive
effect of the drums - here is a proven solution.

For replacement lamps, use only what is called a "Rough Service" lamp.
These lamps are specifically sold for use in trouble lights found in
any automotive garage or shop. The cage of the trouble light saves the
glass from breaking, and the interior construction of the filament and
supports, save the filiment from destruction when banged or dropped on
the floor.

I have been using this type of lamp in my KT Special for several years
now.  The use can be considered semi-commercial. I can't remember when
I last had a lamp fail.

Hope this saves someone some aggravation in the future.
