Inoperative E-Mail Addresses in Digest Postings
By Richard Day
Where is Jim Brady, in response to his note about pipes for sale ?
I e-mailed this address jlbrady@mindspring.com.geentroep. This was in
the "for sale notice" The e-mail came back as non-deliverable. Does
anybody know how to get ahold of this gentleman. I am looking for
pipes for an air calliope or possible band organ project.

[ Dick, Good luck you your project. Please keep us informed of
[ your progress.
[
[ Because we want to discourage the use of e-mail addresses from the
[ MMDigest by robots doing bulk mailing, we garble the addresses with
[ a suffix intended to make the address not work if picked up by a
[ robot. The idea is that a human user can be taught to snip the
[ junk off. We used to use the suffix ".nospam" but it was too
[ obvious. "Geen troep" is Dutch and means "no junk". So far it
[ seems to be helping, but our readers often forget to snip it off
[ when replying to Digest articles. You're in good company! -- Jody
