Music Box Monkeys
By Keith Merchant

Hi All, I am hoping some one can help me. I bought a 1880s-1890s
cylinder music box which has two well-dressed monkeys that hit four
bells as the eight tunes are being played.

Now, my problem is that someone liked the monkey's heads so much that
they took them for souvenirs. Hopefully someone has a picture of the
monkey's heads they could send me via e-mail or by snail mail. Any
help would be appreciated.

I would like to know if they were wearing hats and, if so, what kind and
what colour. Were their mouths open or not? Is there a place on the
'Net that has a photo of this monkey machine? Thank you very much for
your help. Bye for now
