Restoring or Painting Fine Gold Lines
By Philip Jamison

I don't know what the "designs" in gold are on the organette you wish
to restore, but you might consult a pinstriper to do the lines. These
people hang around car shows and do street rods, etc. A high class car
dealer could give you a name, too. For a real gold look you could stripe
with gold size and apply gold leaf. A good sign painter could do this.
As for the designs, that's harder. Perhaps a stencil could be made using
today's vinyl sign cutting technology.
