Bush & Lane Player Action With Metal Valve Blocks
By Ed Gaida
I recently received a Bush & Lane player action to overhaul. It is
listed in the Player Piano top fifty as number forty. It is the one
described as "taking two persons to even lift it out of the piano" --
sort of a double hernia model. Surprisingly, the die cast valve blocks
and everything else that is die cast are in good condition.
Attached are two photos of the player still in the piano. One or both
can be chosen to post to the MMD. The description in the Player Piano
catalog says they are common, but this is the first one I have seen in
my pneumatic career.

[ I'll make a web page for photos of piano actions, which folks can
[ use to identify unknown ones. Can someone supply photos of the
[ Otto Higel "Metalnola" action? (That's another double hernia,
[ I'm sure! ;) Watch http://mmd.foxtail.com/Pictures/ -- Robbie
