Pneumatics Spring Replacements?
By Dave Clark

I am restoring the "bells" from a Wurlitzer 153 band organ. After
removing the pneumatics and cloth I discovered the pneumatics had at
one time pneumatic springs. The slightly rust colored holes in the end
grain are clearly visible. Can someone with access to an original set
tell me what size wire they were made from? From the size of the hole
I can estimate what size wire they were but I always prefer to know the
exact value for "historical" preservation.
